Our room overlooked Carrer Commerc and had a balcony. The shutters allowed us to get light into the room at night but kept the cold of January and most of the noise out. We had a heater in the room which made it very cozy. Our only negative was no facility to make a warm drink in the room but there was a machine in the TV/internet room which provided hot chocolate for 1 euro a cup!
Overall we thought it was a great place within walking distance of most of the main attractions and we would certainly stay there again.
