There is a real problem for anyone placed in a room overlooking the main street (Ferran) or indeed the laneway leading on to that street - the noise is mind-blowing, and there's no double-glazing. After the first completely sleepless night, I asked for a quiet room and was given one on the top floor and apparently at the back. This, plus ear-plugs, was a great improvement. However, the walls are thin, and one's neighbours movements and snoring are clearly audible. This wasn't a great problem, but it could have been!
