The Hostal Gatraval radiates cheerfulness and style in its every one of its 24 rooms. The photos speak for themselves, and the owners incorporated their own flair into the colour scheme of the rooms. The logo is a black cat, and the hostel’s name Gatraval combines the Catalan word for “cat” and its location, the hip and young Raval. Image is key at Gatraval and no detail has been overlooked. The modern rooms are all equipped with TV, heating, air conditioning and safety box. Being a tech-savvy, cybercool hostel there is of course, free internet access in the lobby as well as plenty of tea and coffee to keep you buzzing. Solo traveller
Lage in der Nähe des Place de Catalunya und Rambla, Sauberkeit OK, Zimmer sehr hellhörig (besonders zur Straße), eigentlich kein Designhotel, da kann auch die grüne Farbe nicht darüber hinwegtäuschen. Im Großen und Ganzen ist diese Unterkunft ideal für einen Kurztrip nach Barcelona. Translate this guest review

I really like this hostel it was quite cheap and close to the center. Staff were very helpful and friendly as well. The only problem was bathrooms are outside of the room. You don't feel comfortable while you are taking a shower. In spite of everything it was cool place if you are a backpack traveller and don't mind about luxury...Translate this guest review

The room was very tiny but very clean. I would have liked some extra room to hang clothes. I was impressed with the very friendly staff. On the day we checked out we had a late flight that evening. They allowed us to hold on to our safety deposit key until we left & also gave us towels to have showers before we left for the airport.My only issue was that the air con was a bit awkward to use or maybe that was just me!
