Oops, did we forget to mention Casa Batlló and La Pedrera? If you are walking-averse or simply tired, there are plenty of metro, regional train and bus stations nearby. This hostel is situated in a a turn of the century Modernist building, and has been completely reformed for modern-day comforts. Closer to the hostel are several intriguing Gaudi structures including La Pedrera (also known as Casa Mila), Casa Batlló (which was nicknamed the bone house because of the shape of the columns in front of the first floor windows) and finally Gaudi’s masterpiece, Sagrada Familia Cathedral is not far away. The hostel has been completely renovated and is located in a residence built at the turn of the century. The staff at the Agua Alegre reflect the friendly name of the hostel, and will make you feel right at home. Siamo 3 ragazze italiane, abbiamo provato L'hostal Agua Alegre anche in versione invernale (in estate ne siamo rimaste innamorate!!)... l'ostello è comunque molto accogliente e ricco di comfort, l'unica pecca è il riscaldamente leggermente scarso.
A parte tutto l'ubicazione è strategica, tra la rambla e il barrio gotico; il personale è sempre gentile e disponibile, il check-in è 24h e si ha anche la possibilità di lasciare i bagagli costuditi (per un ultimo giro prima della partenza senza le ingombranti valige!)

Chambres assez glauques (rien à voir avec les photos) mais lits corrects à condition d'y dormir seul: à deux ça fait trampoline ...Indispensable de demander une chambre sur jardin, sinon c'est vraiment bruyant.Fenêtres et stores ne ferment pas bien. Bonne situation centrale. Très appréciable : café et thé sont offerts le matin et des tables sont à la disposition des clients,à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur, pour prendre le petit déjeuner ou pique-niquer(supérette juste à côté)

Hotel avec charme ancien...;) l'accueil y est agréable accompagné d'une boisson.Le supermarché pratique pour un petit déjeuner sur la géniale terrasse ensoleillée. Le moins...les fenêtres des chambres donnant sur la rue ne ferment pas hérmétiquement....vive le trafic non-stop de Barcelone
