Hostal Romay is a 1-star hostel in the old part of Barcelona city centre, known as the Gothic neighbourhood (Barri Gotic), in the historic heart of the city, very close to the Rambla, Placa Reial and the Cathedral. Drassanes metro station is just a short walk away and has trains to Placa Catalunya, Placa Espanya, Passeig de Gracia and Parc Guell. It is clean and offers 9 rooms, 2 with private bathrooms and the other 7 rooms with shared bathrooms. All of the rooms are simple with two single beds and, although they are basic, they are clean and very affordable. Sheets, towels and fans are provided. Une petite auberge sans prétention mais de bonne tenue tout près de la Rambla dans une rue passante (ne surtout pas y aller en voiture, prendre un parking carrer Ample) et sûre(quelques dealers à la nuit tombée mais ni intrusifs ni agressifs).
Les plus : sécurité, propreté des locaux (chambre faite tous les jours), calme (par rapport à la rue, chambres donnant sur un patio), taille de la chambre, bon état des sanitaires.
Les moins : pas de chauffage ni de clim (un peu frais en hiver, probablement étouffant en été), eau chaude rare (faut se lever de bonne heure, fini après 10 heures...), bruit des couloirs et chambres voisines (quand le voisin ronfle...).
Bref, on en a pour son argent, pas plus, pas moins. L'accueil est sympa sans plus (ne parle qu'espagnol). Ne pas s'arrêter à l'état de la cage d'escalier (peinture probablement pas refaite depuis la construction de l'immeuble, en 1847 !), l'hostal est en bien meilleur état ! |
