Opened in 2005, Hostal Coral is a welcoming establishment situated in the very centre of Barcelona, right in the Barri Gotic (Gothic quarter), next to Placa Sant Jaume and a few steps away from the Rambla, the Cathedral, the Picasso Museum, the Port and all the attractions in the city centre. Placa Catalunya is also just a short walk away and leads on to Passeig de Gracia, one of the most important avenues in the city and home to Gaudi’s buildings La Pedrera and Casa Batllo as well as some of the best clothes stores in Barcelona. Hostal Coral has a total of 25 simple, comfortable double and triple rooms available. Some of the rooms have private bathrooms and others share with just a few other guests. All of the rooms have heating and some have a private balcony. The hostel is open 24 hours a day and there is always somebody at the reception to attend to you. The hostel does not offer breakfast but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants in the area where you can have breakfast at a reasonable price.

Family with older children
Excellent location because in walking distance to metro and Ramblas and many touristic locations. In weekend a little bit noisy because of some disco close to hotel. But the noise stopped early at night. Rooms were cleaned every day. Entrance hard to find. Host family very friendly.

Un poco fria la habitacion, la calefaccion estaba al lado de la puerta y el resto de la estancia permanecia fria. El balcon terraza no era mas que una puerta ventana al que no se podia acceder. Creo que la web presenta los alojamientos mejor de lo que uno encuentra.

Hostal Coral was really good, I loved the family who own it.. really friendly and welcoming.. our room was cleaned every day.. and the location was excellent.. for a cheap room in heart of Barcelona.. I totally recommend it
