Residencia Nikbor has been a private institution since 1995 used as halls of residence for Barcelona University students. In the summer however, it becomes a great option for travellers looking for central accommodation in Barcelona at affordable rates. There are single, double and triple rooms available, all with private bathrooms in them. The decor is simple but pleasant with an informal, student atmosphere. A fantastic buffet breakfast is served every morning in the dining room and comes included in the price of the room.

Young couple
Nikbor Residence is actually a sort of student-dorm. It is clean although some of the furnishings are not new at all.I think the price/services ratio was ok and i would definetly go there again if i would visit Barcelona. It's quite in the midle of the city(literally,if you study the map);the residence's personal was extremly helpful with indications and very friendly. The residence doesn't however accept cards for payment.

Evitar ir los fines de semana si quereis dormir porque los estudiantes montan fiestas por la noche. Además, el agua caliente no funcionaba. Por otra parte, las habitaciones son grandes y está muy bien situado y comunicado.

Ambiente molto spartano (si tratta di una residenza universitaria, dalla presentazione non era chiaro) ma non per questo scomodo o sporco.
Le camere hanno i letti a castello e sono da 4 posti ( a me non è stato chiesto di dividerla con altri, ma era bassa stagione quindi non so se in quella alta può accadere); il bagno in camera non nuovissimo ma essenzialmente pulito. Il cambio della biancheria avviene una volta a settimana, credo.
La colazione è ottima e senza limiti di quantità, nonché inclusa nel prezzo (modico). Il personale sebbene non parli inglese ma solo catalano e castigliano è molto disponibile e gentile, la reception è aperta 24/24h, il clima è informale (ci sono soprattutto studenti giovani). L'ubicazione è strategica (in cima al viale principale della città); il palazzo a prima vista può scoraggiare perchè non è nuovisssimo e non ospita solo la residenza universitaria ma anche uffici, ma devo dire di non aver avuto problemi particolari (soprattutto la notte).
I pagamenti sono accettati solo in contanti e richiesti subito all'arrivo.
Unico neo, le serrature delle porte non avevano l'aria molto affidabile e sicura.

L'ubicazione della residenza è ottima, vicinissima alla maggior parte dei monumenti;il personale è sempre disponibile per qualsiasi informazione; rapporto qulità prezzo è ottimo per chi si sa adattare.

Family with older children
Nous avions loué 2 chambres (1x2pers + 1x3pers). Celle de 2 personnes étaient très petites et pas très propre. Celle de 3 personnes était tout le contraire: grande (2 sdb 2 ch. 1 salon 1TV) et très propre. Dans l'ensemble, nous sommes satisfaits (très bon accueil, petit prix et pas bcp de bruit).
