Pension Iniesta has been recently renovated and is located just off Avenida Paral.lel, the theatre district, a bustling avenue just a short walk from Las Ramblas and the historic old town, and within easy reach from Plaza Catalunya, Plaza Espanya, Montjuïc and the Old Port area. This area is becoming more interesting for nightlife and has its own hidden treasures, such as Maumau chill out bar in Poble Sec among others like Rouge. Las Ramblas is close by with all its life and colour. The old town is full of points of interest and historically significant landmarks. The Cathedral, Roman walls, Liceu Opera house, Boqueria Market, Plaza de Catalunya are all within walking distance. Our hostel was clean and tidy but basic, to be expected at the price we paid. The staff were very helpful.

ALTHOUGH IT WAS HIGH SEASON, IT'S A LITTLE PRICEY FOR WHAT IT IS, IT'S CHEAP BUT NOT SO CHEERFUL, THE RECEPTION STAFF DON'T SPEAK, THEY ONLY MAKE NOISE (MOSTLY TOTALLY UNNECESSARY) ARE TOO LOUD AMONGST THEMSELVES, YET REMAIN SILENT WHEN SPOKEN TO, ARE NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL, ARE A BIT IGNORANT OF FOREIGN VISITORS, THERE WAS NO WATER FOR TWO DAYS, NO TOWEL CHANGE FOR 6 DAYS, NO ROOM CLEAN FOR 6 DAYS, THEY DON'T ANY ATTENTION TO THE FACT THAT YOU ARE STANDING THERE WITH THE KEY, WAITING TO HAND IT TO THEM, TWO OF THEM WERE OFTEN SCREECHING LIKE HYPERVENTILATED LITTLE KIDS, ESPECIALLY THE GAY BOY, ONE OF THEM DELIBERATELY PLAYED VERY LOUD MUSIC AT 5.00.AM TO 6.00.AM ONE MORNING, AND THE CLEANER CONSTANTLY KEPT BANGING THE DOOR AS HARD AS SHE COULD EVERYDAY, ON ONE MORNING THE DOOR NEXT TO MY ROOM WAS SMASHED SO HARD, I LITERALLY FELL OUT OF THE BED, I SLIPPED OVER AND BANGED MY LEG BADLY IN THE SHOWER BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN LEFT GREASY/SLIPPERY BY THE CLEANER, AND A LOT OF OTHER PROBLEMS, TOO MANY TO NAME HERE, THE WHOLE PLACE IS A DISASTER ZONE, WHEN YOU LOOK THROUGH ONE OF THE OPEN WINDOWS WITHIN THE HOUSE, THE OUTSIDE LOOKS LIKE A BOMB ZONE FROM THE 1st WORLD WAR.

Le personnel est très sympatique. Bon rapport qualité prix. Plutot propre. Réfrigérateur et micro-onde à disposition très appréciables. Très bien desservit.Le métro arrive en bas de l'hotel. Assez proche des sites touristiques. Quelques petits désagréments comme les éviers bouchés, les draps pas changés, un changement de chambre au milieu du séjour, les extréments de pigeons sur le balcon, l'obligation de dormir dans un lit deux places ou une coupure d'eau pendant une nuit et la journée suivante (problème dans la rue). La rue qui va du quartier animé à l'hotel n'est pas très fréquentable la nuit. L'eau n'est pas potable.
