  About Hostal Barcelona City Urquinaona
The charming yet simple one star Barcelona City Urquinaona Hostal is located in the beautiful centre near the Plazas Catalunya and Urquinaona in Barcelona Spain. From this quiet area you can easily explore the historical Old Town and the chic Eixample neighbourhoods, all while being a short distance from the bars and nightlife. This is a fabulous jumping off point to see the major sites of the city. Wander down the shopping street Porta del Angel to the Cathedral plaza with this spectacular gothic structure dominating the area. Les Quartre Gats restaurant is just around the corner and was one frequented by famous painter and former Barcelona resident Picasso. It serves high end versions of typical Catalan fare in a charming setting with warm colours and pointed arches. Cross the Via Laietana and visit the Palau de la Música. This whimsical concert hall is an eyeful of colour and shapes in ceramic. Down from here is the semi hidden little bar, the Antic Teatre, which is full of the young and hip in the outdoor patio. The nearby Raval and the Born areas are great for going out for cocktails late at night. Princesa 23 is on the street by the same name and has a happy hour and cocktail of the evening special- and sometimes a free cava (Catalan sparkling wine) if you get a flyer from a street promoter. In Raval, Dos Trece bar and restaurant has great mixed drinks and on Sundays they have a great brunch until 4. This charming little hostel has single rooms, double rooms, with either double bed or two single beds and triples with 3 single beds. All have a wash basin inside the room, and bathrooms are shared. The hostel has a little terrace where you can enjoy the quiet as you have your morning coffee. A clean and simple hostel for a relaxing stay in the city centre.

5 minutes to Plaza Catalunya which has great public transport: metro Catalunya (lines 3 and 1 + and FCG and RENFE commuter and regional trains); bus lines, Tourist Bus and night buses; taxi stop. Also close are metro Urquinaona (lines 1 and 4), Arc del Triomf (line 1 + RENFE trains) and Tetuán (line 2). 5 minutes to bus station Estació del Nord (with buses arriving to and from Girona airport for Ryanair flights).

appartement typique barcelonais, avec un charme adorable. La possibilité de laisser des petites choses dans le frigo de se faire du thé, du café à toute heure dans le coin terrasse bien au calme, un bonheur!

franchement rien à redire même si la chambre était un peu gloque des couleurs plus gais seraient quand même plus agréable et les toilettes pourrais être plus propores !!!

bonne emplacement, bon rapport qualite prix. etablissement serieux et propre. possibilite e faire du the cafe et micro ondes a disposition + frigo a disposition est un veritable avantage. bon service a la personne.

The fact that the toilet was in the bathroom is something which is not optimal. It is ok to share, but please separate these two facilities. Apart from that lovely building and nice touch with the watercooker and the free coffee and tea.
