The Hostal d'Uxelles 1 is a cosy hostel situated in an unbeatable location of the centre of Barcelona - just a 5 minute walk to Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas. If you’re a Gaudí lover, in a short walk up Paseo de Gracia and you have two of his most famous structures. A bit further and you’re at the one of a kind Sagrada Familia, on your way you’ll pass numerous cafes and shops and restaurants- nearly all have a menu and price list at the door, so take note. The Gothic Quarter is a history buff’s dream with its spectacular Cathedral with towering spires. Parts of the original Roman wall can be spotted here and there. El hostal en general estaba bien y era muy limpio, pero me pareciò demasiado caro en relacion calidad/precio. Es decir con estos precios teneis que aumentar la calidad.Luego no me dieron una cama de matrimonio como yo habia pedido, sino dos camas, diciendo que no era posible haber una cama matrimonio. El chico que està allì es muy agradable y disponible.

Das Zimmer war etwas klein die lage war ok. dass es nicht zentral war, war es gut erreichbar. Der aufenthaltsraum war nicht so einladend wie erwartet und die Bedinung so lala eine Person war sehr unfreundlich fragte mich warumm sie dort arbeitet, die Gäste waren ihr scheinbar lässtig. Schade für die Ferien stimmung.

Points forts: l'accessibilité, l'emplacement proche du centre ville, la décoration de caractère. Points faibles: Chambres côté rue donnant sur boulevard très bruyant, fenètres anciennes simple vitrage et fermant mal, pas de clim (obligation de dormir fenêtre fermée à cause du bruit).

Die Pension war genau so wie wir (5 Mädels) es uns vorgestellt hatten. Nette kleine Details . Leider nachts bzw. am frühen Morgen sehr laut. (Müllabfuhr und Berufsverkehr). Die Lage aber ziemlich gut, das Zentrum zu Fuß gut zu erreichen.

The accommodation was smaller than expected and no security boxes were provided but other than that the location was perfect and the staff were helpful.
