You’re also near the Liceu Opera which was recently reconstructed to its former grandeur after burning down in a tragic arson attack in 1994. Liceu is fully functional today and houses many world class performances. Go down Las Ramblas toward the port and pass the Maritime Museum on your right housed in a breathtaking XII century ship building structure. Down an alley on your left is the curious wax museum. Stop by for a peek in the wax museum’s bar, El Bosc de les Fades, which translates from Catalan to the enchanted forest of the faeries. Night clubs are numerous in and around the plaza, a favourite is Club Real just off the plaza.
