Hostal Apolo, Barcelona

Das Hostel ist nur wenige Gehminuten von der "Rambla" entfernt und liegt trotzdem ruhig, also kein Verkehrslärm, dafür sind die Wände zwischen den einzelnen Zimmern sehr hellhörig. Die Bäder sind sauber und modern, einen Fön gibts aber nicht (vielleicht im Gemeinschaftsbad?). Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Wir würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen.

Die Unterkunft war dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis angepaßt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Das einzige, was man kritisieren könnte, war das bei einem sechs-tägigen Aufenthalt die Handtücher nicht gewechselt wurden. Die Unterkunft würde ich trotzdem jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

The staff were very efficient, very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were well-equipped, comfortable beds with cotton sheets and plenty of crisp clean towels, hair-dryer, bath gels, etc. Very good value. The only negatives - walls a bit thin so could hear next door occupants, and, with the window open, it was very very noisy outside until around 5.30 a.m when the clubs closed. So maybe not good for light-sleepers or early risers! The location however is very good for access to just about all areas of Barcelona either on foot or by public transport. Also the local area is one of the most charmingly unspoilt and authentic parts of the city, which also has lots of great bars, restaurants, etc.

Even if the quarter is not so beautiful, the hotel is in a good position, near the ramblas and the metro station. Staff people are nice and friendly and the bathroom was very cleaned. The only problem we had was related to the small window of our room, so that inside the room it was quite warm and humid.
