Barcelona's dramatic skyline

The Torre Mapfre (Mapfre Tower) and the Hotel Arts are two impressive skyscrapers usually called the ‘Twin Towers’. They are located in the heart of the Villa Olimpica area of Barcelona, Spain.

The Torre Mapfre is named after its owner, Mapfre – the leading insurance company in Spain based in Madrid – and it was designed by Iñigo Ortiz and Enrique de León. The majestic Hotel Arts was designed by the architects Bruce Graham and Frank O. Ghery. It’s one of Barcelona's leading hotels and belongs to the well-known hotel chain Ritz-Carlton. The Hotel Arts is a luxurious hotel and the place chosen by many celebrities when visiting Barcelona. In 2006 the hotel was completely renovated - new technology was installed and all the rooms and bathrooms were upgraded.

Mapfre Tower and the Hotel Arts are iconic trademarks of the Villa Olimpica. When flying over the city these beautiful and modern constructions are some of the first symbols of Barcelona to welcome you to this amazing European city.
