Casa Ametller

In Passeig de Gràcia with Aragó street you can also admire "Casa Ametller". It was designed by Puig i Cadafalch in 1900. Puig i Cadafalch was a multi-talented man. He was an architect, an archaeologist, a historian and a Catalan politician. Unfortunately, visitors are not allowed inside, but the view from the street is still impressive. It displays Central European Gothic influences, particularly in the pyramid-shaped roof and a touch of Catalan Gothic style in the window arches, but as a whole, it's clearly modernist, especially the ceramic facade.
